Welcome to The Singed Cuff. I hope that you enjoy exploring my work as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it. The name of my jewelry business is inspired by my early attempts at soldering silver...I literally burned a hole in my sleeve and have the permanent scar on my arm to prove it.
Utilizing vintage English tea and biscuit tins, these pieces are light-hearted and light-weight.
This collection is created from vintage (and often heavily tarnished) silver trays and platters.
Whether transforming an old shoe clip in to a pendant or fashioning an antique buckle in to a bracelet, this collection is eclectic and designed for the person that wants a one-of-a kind statement piece.
Double-sided charms can be customized to include personal photos, quotes or monograms. Please allow four weeks for delivery.
Wish you could say what you're really thinking sometimes? Now you can by letting your jewelry speak for you. Intended for those with a great sense of humor, perspective and style.
Did you inherit some of grandma's costume jewelry and don't know what to do with it?
Are you going to throw away that one lone earring in your jewelry box that's missing it's mate?
Would you like to give your daughter a special "something old" made in to "something new" on her wedding day?
I delight in creating custom jewelry for people that tells their own unique story. Contact me to discuss details.
The Singed Cuff pieces are designed as unique, accessible, wearable art. The Singed Cuff pieces are meant to be touched and tried on. You won't find anything behind a glass case. You won't have to ask a salesperson to try something on. All you have to do is make plans to attend a Singed Cuff Trunk Show. Contact me for information on upcoming shows.
If you'd like to host a Trunk Show for your friends or family, contact me. Together, we'll plan an event that will be the perfect mix of fun and fashionable.
I am a native Saint Louisan, but have called Kansas City "home" for nearly 17 years. I inherited my artistic interests from both of my parents, my mother a gifted seamstress and my father an art educator and professional artist. My fine arts degree has allowed me to experiment and stretch myself.
My work is a collection of things that make me happy, and hopefully, you too. Whether I'm fashioning some vintage jewels into a pair of earrings, or transforming a tarnished silver platter into a one-of-a-kind necklace, my work is designed to simply make you smile. I strive to create jewelry that is unique, accessible, and tells a story. All of my work is hand-crafted, and inspired by my (pretty-darn-great) everyday life.
